Visitors to this fully immersive, dystopian end-of-the-world experience stumbled upon the Church of the Radiant Phoenix: A doomsday cult convinced that—this time—their predictions are correct and tonight their Phoenix god will rise!
New feathren were invited to drink the luminous green Kool-Aid, wear the magical mark of the Phoenix on their skin, and follow clues to the Phoenix’s nest—complete with a 4-foot golden egg.
At the predicted hour, as the ‘believers’ chanted around the bonfire, the glowing Phoenix god (powered by drone) hatched from its egg through massive clouds of smoke and flew high above everyone’s heads.
